A beach on the Big Pine Key

Big Pine Key

Situated just 30 miles away from Key West, Big Pine Key is more laid back than other locations found along the Keys. As one of the least developed areas, there’s a strong emphasis on nature with wildlife sanctuaries, including the Key West National Wildlife Refuge. Nature trails towards Long Beach and the Blue Hole lead to tidal pools, limestone quarries and a chance to spot deer and alligators. The glitz and glamour may not have reached Big Pine Key, but its thriving nature makes up for it.
