2. Champs-Élysées, France

One of the most iconic roads in the world, this main thoroughfare in Paris leads right up to the base of the Arc de Triumph. It is a postcard worthy scene in Paris, so whether you travel by car or simply want to visit by foot it is a must visit when in the city. It is also the traditional finishing place of the Tour de France which means it has extra significance for cyclists. 3. The Overseas Highway, Florida Keys

Another road made famous by the movies, is the enormous bridge that links the islands of the Florida Keys to provide a cinematic drive that is literally on the water. If you drive along the bridge at the right time of day you will enjoy some stunning views and sunsets. This vast 127.5 mile long stretch of road is a great journey to take if you enjoy long scenic drives.

4. The Atlantic Road, Norway

This five mile stretch of road has become famous because of both the spectacular scenery and unpredictable weather. Rising above some very dramatic coastline and then falling again towards the water, it almost feels like you’re driving on the sea itself.

On a good day you might even catch a glimpse of a whale or two just off the coast. Hire a car in Norway and take on this incredible stretch for a driving experience you won’t forget.

5. Stelvio Pass, Italy

The highest paved road in Europe crossing the Alps, this is an incredible road but one that only confident drivers should attempt. At nearly 10,000 feet, this can get a little scary at times but while the location will get your adrenalin pumping the views will more than certainly take your breath away.
