I had a great and exciting day yesterday. Not that the rest of my week is particularly difficult! Yesterday, we presented our latest innovations and leading edge services, as well as those of our partners The AA and Ai Claims Solutions, to our corporate customers.

It’s fair to say that there was a lot of enthusiasm from everyone about the level of effort put by Avis and its partners in bringing better services and products to the corporate market. Amongst other things, there was a great presentation on our environmental policies and green credentials from our newly appointed CSR manager, our staff demonstrated our Rapid Return services during a tour of the station, and Avis Prestige brought some nice cars (the new Audi A5 was there) to explain their services.

I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to present this Blog to everyone, and explain how it is used by you, our readers, and how we manage your comments and feedback. The feedback was really positive and I hope it demonstrated our commitment to listening to our customers.

Yesterday was a very good day, and I’d like to thank our customers for their positive comments.

    I too was at the Customer Day and have to say what a great example it was of everyone in Avis “trying harder” to show why we are different from the competition. Lots of good representation from across the company and beyond (several of our key business partners also presented).

    Thanks to everyone involved. I hope any customers “tuning in” to the Blog who were at the day enjoyed it as much as we did.

    during Sept. 2008 my car was involved in an accident for which the other driver accepted full responsibility. Their insurance company appointed Ai Solutions to handle repairs to my car and arrange hire car which was supplied by Avis. When my car was returned I contacted Ai to have the hire car returned to Avis. 4 days later car was uplifted by Avis in my absence and comment made to one of my neighbours that car had 2 small scratches on front bumper about which I knew nothing. Avis incident report AI203479 was sent to myself for completion with an advised cost of £167.31 for repairs. Since that time I have been in contact with Ai many times since cost has increased to £238.51 which is close to the excess figure of £250 they claim I was advised about. Eventually I received a demand for payment dated 16th July 2009 and to my surprise on the final bill was the Avis logo and Ai Solutions address is the same as that for Avis. Here was I over the last 12 months thinking Ai were working on my behalf whilst all along they were working for Avis. My reaction know is that this is a very nice scam and money earner for both companies. Appreciate comments
