Heather Richardson is the editor of The Explorer magazine and an award-winning travel writer from Sheffield, UK. Having caught the travel bug before university, Heather has moved around extensively ever since. She’s lived in both Melbourne and Sydney, Australia, and has recently relocated to sunny Cape Town, South Africa.
Journalism has been at the forefront of Heather’s adult life. In the early post-university days, she gained work experience in the industry at the BBC and also in India. After joining the luxury travel company Jacada Travel, Heather won her first writing awards.
Nowadays, when she’s not writing about her experiences, she can usually be found trail running around Table Mountain or exploring the Cape’s famous Winelands.
